As the name would suggest, Grow Taller 4 Idiots is a book which looks into methods of improving your height naturally. We’ll take a look at this book and the individual sections inside and see whether its worth a look or not.

The book starts off as a short introduction to the concept of natural height gain, followed by the first major section on nutrition. Here we immediately see that gaining height will not be something done on a whim, but that it will take some commitment on your part to achieve. A whole slew of vitamins and minerals are broken down in this section, with their many health benefits fully detailed. This will be a worthwhile section to come back to in the future.

Next up is a look at posture problems which may be holding you back, or down as it is. The section is not overly robust, but the exercises later in the book help flesh out this section with its useful remedies for these problems. A few helpful diagrams are present in this section as well.

Next is sleeping, and like posture, even slight misalignments in your back while sleeping can cause permanent shortening of the space between the vertebrae in your back, leading to height loss. One possible remedy is to avoid using pillows, and while this may not be a popular option, it can provide dramatic results on your posture while you sleep.

More than just about any other activity, save for perhaps sitting, we spend more time sleeping than anything else, so maintaining good positioning while doing so is vital.

The last major section is devoted to exercises, a major component of growing taller naturally. This section is extremely detailed, with multiple diagrams present to illustrate the methods being taught. Probably the best section of the book, and like the nutrition segment, this one is worth returning to multiple times as well.

There’s a small bonus section at the end with additional nuggets of information that wouldn’t fit neatly into any other sections of the book.

Grow Taller 4 Idiots is a book that should be looked into by anyone serious about undertaking a regime with the aim of growing taller. It has plenty of useful information that you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere, all neatly contained in one book.

Lately, even Hollywood A-listers are moving away from cosmetic surgery and instead opting for cosmetic dermatology as a less invasive alternative for skin rejuvenation. Combining various treatments, known as “Comprehensive Therapy” or “Polytherapy” can give people their desired look for less money, pain, planning and with little or no downtime.

While the list of options isnt as long as the menu at your local juice bar, it does take a skille dermatologist to understand how to assemble the right combination of treatments for a patients’ condition and desired result.

When it comes to skin rejuvenation, the stretched look is out. Facelifts may not even get rid of the folds that a patient seeks to correct, plus, no one wants the downtime and pain that comes with plastic surgery, not to mention the possibility of a poor outcome that would be permanent.

Incredible advancements in laser and treatment options means that dermatologists can now combine methods to achieve the look patients are after with much greater ease. Polytherapy produces much longer lasting effects, so trips to the doctors office for maintenance are required less often. Best of all, all of these combined procedures have very few associated risks, so the desicion to “go ahead” is much easier to make.

For example, the skin can be tightened and noticeably rejuvenated without pulling or cutting by using Genesis Plus, a combination of IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and Nd:YAG laser. The IPL treats the surface of the skin by correcting tone and evening pigmentation, while the YAG stimulates collagen for new growth. These two combined treatments help greatly to eliminate wrinkles and scars while making the skin tighter overall. A little Restylane for fine lines and around the eyes, a bit of Botox, and patients look young, and most importantly, natural.

Advances in Polytherapy have presented endless possibilities to the cosmetic dermnatologist. One of the most exciting new rejuvenation techniques if PDT (photodynamic therapy). PDT achieves similar results to laser resurfacing but without the associated risks. PDT is done by first applying a light-sensitizing substance to the skin, then passing a laser or light source over the area to be treated.

Comprehensive therapy not only produces superior results, but the effects last much longer. For example, using Botox or a similar filler substance on it own will produce results that last about three months. However, combining Botox treatment with Restylane, in an area like the frown lines can sustain the look for over six months.

Its rare that one type of treatment will produce the desired effect on its own. Thats why theres a trend toward polytherapy. However, only an experienced physician understands how to combine treatments to get the best results, and the importance of keeping abreast and offering the latest technology available.
